2012 year end list —Top 5 TV shows I enjoyed this year….

tvtour3My list in no particular order:

1. Boardwalk Empire….I was reluctant to start this one….it came off as a bit tooo…I don’t know….I want to say it reeked of trying too hard to be a hit.   But I caved to the hype.  I’m still only just starting season 3 but it has turned out to be a pretty interesting show.

2. Homeland….Probably my favorite this year so far.  I can’t get enough chin quivering…who can?

3. Breaking Bad…..always so great and I can’t believe how long we have to wait for the ending.

4. The Walking Dead…..didn’t like this show so much in previous seasons but I really like this season.  Can’t wait for it to come back around in February.

5. Downton Abbey….love it.

I’d say Mad Men should totally be on this list …but did it air this year? I can’t even remember when I saw it last….. Also Louie and The League should make the list ….love those shows….maybe I should have done a top ten…..

There are two shows that I DID enjoy BUT they totally bit the dust this year for me personally:  Dexter (which was a little better than last season but I have some major complaints about it) and True Blood…what the hell has happened to that show?

And I just started a show, much hyped, called The Killing….maybe best described as Twin Peaks for the slow witted…or that’s how I think of it so far…and when I’ve had enough wine, I kind of need a slow witted show with cool dark atmosphere so it’s drawing me in…

Some shows I’m sure might have made my list IF I’d seen them…I have yet to start Sons of Anarchy or Gangland or Deadwood or Prison Break or Boss or House of Lies or Nip Tuck or…..I haven’t even finished the last two seasons of Justified….My uncle has asked me a million times if I’ve tried American Horror Story yet.  No.  I’m too busy mindlessly watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta (wondering why each time) and Project Runway All Stars.
