Rustle by Peter Crowther (short story)

edition: The Best of Cemetery Dance Vol.1

Intriguing story told mostly in dialogue (interviews between doctor and accused “murderer” as well as conversations between policeman and doctor). Story is about a man who claims that a purple door appears randomly in his apartment and request he give it women. The story pulled me in from the beginning as any “crime” story would, wanting to know what the hell was going on. Was interested in his door story but the story fell flat at the end a bit but still had a creepy enough feel that you wanted to glance behind you on occasion. Overall I’m not a fan of this brand of supernatural horror.
